As part of her graduate publishing cohort at Portland State, Julie contributed to the launch of Jason Tanamor's novel through Ooligan Press — building out a full range of marketing and design work, including a banner, press release, discussion guide, review request templates, and social media content. Real press, real book, real readers. The experience of doing that work inside a functioning publishing house with genuine stakes is something that still shows up in how she approaches every project today.
